Morphium
Spanish metal group MorphiuM formed in 2005, consisting of bassist Eugen Chupaka, drummer Mori Kodax, guitarists Victor Lestat and Max Kalbraz, keyboard player/vocalist Lur Mei, and vocalist Alex Bace. The group had an aggressive, punishing death metal style, offset by melodic guitars and harmonious female vocals. MorphiuM recorded their debut full-length, La Era de la Decadencia, in 2008, but it wasn't released until 2011, when the group signed with Kaiowas Records, a Spanish affiliate of Roadrunner Records, and Girona-based Mass Records. The band toured throughout Europe and America, opening for metal superstars such as Megadeth, Fear Factory, and Overkill. Sophomore album Crónicas de una Muerte Anunciada appeared in 2013, and the band continued touring, playing shows with Anthrax, Testament, Exodus, Suicidal Tendencies, and many others.
