Malia Civetz

A pop singer and songwriter recognized for her powerful voice, confident lyrics, and nimble approach to melody, Malia Civetz first went viral in 2018 with "Champagne Clouds." She garnered millions of streams again with her major-label debut, "Broke Boy," from 2020's The Flip EP. Her second EP, Heels in Hand, followed in 2021. Civetz spent parts of her childhood in Hawaii and Las Vegas before moving to Los Angeles to study Popular Music at USC's Thornton School of Music. She completed her bachelor's degree in 2016, and her first pop single, the independently released "Champagne Clouds," proved to be a breakout success, thanks in part to shout-outs from Ryan Seacrest and Taylor Swift. She next issued the song "Little Victories" and landed a tour in support of JoJo. A contract with Warner Records and writing sessions with the likes of Ross Golan (Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande) and J Kash (John Legend, Kylie Minogue) soon followed. Civetz made her Warner debut in early 2020 with "Broke Boy" before delivering the EP The Flip as well as joining Greta Van Fleet, Maggie Rogers, and others on the soundtrack to the teen comedy-drama Unpregnant. Another EP, the six-track Heels in Hand, arrived on Warner in 2021.
