Losoul
The brand of dance music Germany's Peter Kremeier produces as Losoul is a hybridization of the various strains of house he has been exposed to since a teen during the late '80s, all the while adding a dollop of his own playful invention. While Kremeier's material has been thrown in with the remainder of the set dubbed micro-house, his work doesn't fall victim to the pseudo-style's occasional tendency to lapse into prissiness. After a series of six singles for Playhouse scattered between 1996 and 2000, Kremeier released his first full-length with Belong. The record was released the same year as his labelmate Isolée's Rest, which rightfully received a lot of attention in the press -- but unfortunately, this possibly stole some of the thunder from Belong's greatness and overshadowed it. Kremeier, who is often joined by vocalist Malte, has also worked under the Don Disco alias.
