Lindemann

Originally a German/Swedish industrial metal super duo formed around the talents of Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann and Hypocrisy/PAIN multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren, Lindemann came to fruition in 2015 after the two longtime friends made good on a 2013 promise to one day collaborate musically. Employing a seedy mix of goth, dance, and electro-metal, the newly minted band issued a single, "Praise Abort," in early 2015 followed by the release of Skills in Pills, their full-length studio long-player which, unlike Rammstein, saw Till spewing forth in English later that summer. Both members then took a break from recording for a few years; Tägtgren focused on production while Till toured with Rammstein before eventually recording and releasing that band's long-awaited, self-titled seventh album, their first in ten years, in 2019. Only a few months later, he and Tägtgren were back with their second Lindemann album, F&M ("Frau & Mann" or "woman and man" in German). Featuring the single "Steh Auf" ("Stand Up"), the set was split between previously unreleased tracks and a selection from Till's dark stage adaption of Hansel und Gretel. Also, unlike on Skills, F&M found Till singing once again in his native German. In 2020, Tägtgren and Lindemann ended their collaboration and the project continued as a solo outlet for its namesake.
