Gidge
Swedish duo Gidge are known for their ambient brand of environmental techno music that blends nature sounds and real percussion with electronic production techniques. They debuted to buzz in 2014 with their full-length Autumn Bells, followed by 2017's LNLNN and 2020's New Light.
Hailing from Umea, Sweden, Gidge features producers/instrumentalists Ludvig Stolterman and Jonatan Nilsson. The duo initially became friends in high school and bonded over their shared love of electronic music. They began crafting tracks together, weaving electronic beats with real percussion and other organic instruments -- some of which they recorded field music-style in the forests around Umea. Gidge released their debut album, Autumn Bells, in 2014. The record garnered significant attention online and paved the way for their sophomore full-length, 2017's LNLNN. In 2020, the pair released their third album, New Light.
