Elah Hale

Multi-talented New Yorker Elah Hale split time between performance art, theater, modeling, and her lifetime passion of playing music before formally launching her career as a singer/songwriter in 2018. Her confident songwriting, which blends smart, lush pop with light R&B undertones, earned her a deal with Interscope, which released the 2019 EP Room 206. Born in the East Village and raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Hale was active in the arts from a young age, encouraged to pursue music by her parents. She began learning guitar at age five and was writing her own songs within a few years. By the time she headed to Bard College for theater, she'd already been releasing her own songs on various online platforms while modeling on the side to help pay for studio time. With only a couple of buzzed-about self-released singles to her name, Hale landed a contract with Interscope Records at the age of 20 and released her debut EP, Room 206, in 2019.
