Dai Burger

Dai Burger cut her teeth as a backup dancer for rappers like New Yorker Lil Mama before kickstarting her music career in 2010 with her MyMixxxytape project hosted by fellow NYC firebrand Junglepussy. Born Dainene Alexia Baldwin in New York City and raised in Queens, in 2015 the dancing dayglow rapper dropped the popular Dai 1 EP, which featured club-rap anthem "Class President" and a collaboration with UK electronic producer Darq E Freaker. In 2017, she dropped her sharp-witted debut LP, Soft Serve and made her mark as a unique artist straddling a kaleidoscope of styles. Spiking her unique aesthetic with a psychedelic edge, the genre-blending queer icon stirred contemporary club like Baltimore and Jersey, trap, 2000s chart rap and R&B flavors into her empowering stew, while flitting effortlessly between singing and rapping. 2019 saw the release of her celebrated second album, Bite The Burger, which headed straight for the dancefloor with bouncy house energy, while "5 Dubbz" showcased her smoother R&B side. The following year Dai Burger dropped her playful, queer-championing Dessert EP, which featured Baltimore club queen TT The Artist and Chicago rap up-and-comer Kidd Kenn.
