Andrei Korobeinikov

Andrei Korobeinikov was born in Dolgoprudny, near Moscow. He began playing piano at age five, and he made his recital debut at eight in the Great Hall of the Baku State Academy of Music in Azerbaijan. Between 1994 and 2006, he won more than 20 prizes in competitions, including the 2004 Alexander Scriabin International Piano Competition in Moscow, and the 2005 Sergei Rachmaninov International Piano Competition in Los Angeles. He has performed at various music festivals, including the Festival International de Piano de la Roque d'Antheron, the Festival de Radio France et Montpellier, the Klarafestival in Brussels, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, the Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin, the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg, and many others. Korobeinikov has appeared as a soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the NHK Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the NDR-Symphonieorchester, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Camerata Bern, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Lahti, Sinfonia Varsovia, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Kremerata Baltica, and other major orchestras. Korobeinikov has recorded for Mirare, Challenge Classics, and Pentatone Classics.
