Ambush Buzzworl
London-based U.K. drill artist Ambush Buzzworl stands out for his concise lyrical flow and polished beats.
As with many young British drill MCs, Ambush Buzzworl practiced in the shadows before emerging onto the scene. Under the name Ambush, he released his debut album About My Business in 2012 when he was just 17 years old, but then disappeared from view, choosing to polish and refine his sound and style. He reappeared under the expanded name in 2017 with the track "Sauce," and went on to drip-feed his fans a steady string of further releases over the next few years, notably the 2018 singles "Drama" and "Jumpy," the latter of which entered the U.K. Top 40 singles chart. Ambush Buzzworl became a popular and respected artist on the U.K. rap scene; in 2020, he released his second mixtape Ask My Brother, which included features from Giggs and D Double E.
