New York's Metropolitan Opera is streaming a different production every night for free on its website, to help with the boredom of confinement.
The whole world is going through an extremely bizarre and possibly difficult time at the moment, as the global health crisis confining more and more people to their homes for weeks as they try and stop the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.
With millions of people now spending practically every single hour of the day at home, The Met in New York has decided to make a different opera from its Live in HD series available to stream every night, for free!
So far, they have shown Verdi's Il Trovatore and La Traviata as well as Puccini's La Bohème and Bizet's Carmen. Today's showing will see Donizetti's La Fille du Régiment grace the stage:
The performances are shown at 7:30pm New York time and remain available on the The Met's homepage for another 20 hours.
