Officially released for the first time, this live recording features Frank Zappa's final show on U.S. soil at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on March 25, 1988. The concert saw Zappa and his 11-piece band play a career-spanning set including a number of fan favorites, before heading to Europe and imploding. The album includes the infamous "The Beatles Medley," for which Zappa rewrote the lyrics to three Beatles songs to address the exposure of evangelist Jimmy Swaggart at the time.

Frank Zappa, for Better or for Laughs

The more time that goes by since Frank Zappa’s passing on December 4, 1993, the more his absence is cruelly felt in the music world. It's not that we have forgotten him, but we have been searching in vain for someone to fill his boots. Frank Zappa’s genius, both cosmic and comical, has no equivalent today, this is because no one, in almost three decades, has been able to combine such a high level of musical talent with such a brilliant sense of humor. Something Zappa did so well.

The Best of Neil Young Live

Long ago it became common knowledge that Neil Young—a fan of live albums, having released eight in his solo career since 1973—was building a massive tape library of shows. Like Bob Dylan before him (and Bruce Springsteen after), Young rode herd on a constantly expanding recording library that he first began talking about exploiting in the 1980s.

The Talking Heads Revolution

Forty years after its release, David Byrne and his band’s album “Remain in Light” has held on to all of its mad and funky allure. The album’s merging of intellectual post-punk with cosmopolitan dance music influenced groups such as LCD Soundsystem, Vampire Weekend and Arcade Fire. On this fourth album produced by Brian Eno, the Talking Heads revolutionized their sound, but also that of rock itself.
