A great funk guru from his earliest years, Bootsy Collins is to the electric bass what Jimi Hendrix was to the electric guitar. Alongside James Brown and the two George Clinton vehicles (Parliament and Funkadelic), but also going solo, Bootsy is a peerless firestorm of groove. A master of funk whose powers have only ever grown over the last 65 years. With World Wide Funk, which he recorded in his Re-Hab studio in his hometown of Cincinatti, the characterful bassist has brought out an orgy of funk, soul and rap, to which he has brought a staggering array of stars: Doug E. Fresh, Buckethead, Alissia Benveniste, Snoop Dogg, Victor Wooten, Manou Gallo, Stanley Clarke, Dennis Chambers, Eric Gales, Musiq Soulchild, Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D from Public Enemy, MC Eiht and even Bernie Worrell.
