Combining indie rock, epic chamber pop, cabaret-style vaudeville, and electronic folk, German outfit Get Well Soon's 2008 debut album is an eclectic and experimental affair which echoes OK Computer-era Radiohead. The wordily titled Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon, produced by frontman Konstantin Gropper, features the singles "If This Hat Is Missing, I Have Gone Hunting," and "Witches, Witches! Rest Now in the Fire," and a cover of Underworld's '90s dance anthem "Born Slippy."

The Black Keys in 10 Songs

From 2001, The Black Keys have been reminding the world about the real roots of the Blues, cutting away all the frills and unnecessary solos. Their music has always been untamed, abrupt and minimalist. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney developed this unique style over the course of two decades, without once selling their souls to the devil at a Mississippi crossroads. Here are ten songs to prove it.

40 Years of Post-punk in 10 Albums

In the twilight of the ’70s, as the shrapnel of the punk explosion was still settling, the movement was already inspiring new groups. The grungy, ‘I don’t care’ attitude rose from the ashes of punk, heavy metal and alt-rock, and instantaneously went from an underground movement to a worldwide success. Perhaps too quickly embraced by the very system it rebuffed, it almost became a caricature of itself by the end of the 1990s. Let’s look back at ten albums that defined the genre.
