Strauss & Kempe: Elective Affinities

The name of conductor Rudolf Kempe (1910-1976) is indissociable from those of composer Richard Strauss and the Dresden Staatskapelle orchestra. Beethoven: Fidelio's Big Adventure

New proof of the German composer's musical genius, Fidelio also permitted him to write a musical setting for a libretto that matched his political beliefs.
