The Inez Foxx of "Mockingbird" fame is missing in action. None of the sides approaches the magnitude of that #7 pop hit for Foxx in September 1963. Foxx's version of Mitty Collier's soulful "I Had a Talk With My Man" is simply a less compelling rehash. Inez does better on Jeanette "Baby" Washington's "The Time," injecting new life into the timeless ballad. "You Don't Want My Love (All You Want Is My Loving)" is a good match for Foxx's light voice; it has a similar groove to Johnnie Taylor's "Just Keep on Loving Me." The last track, "Mousa Muse," is not a song, but a short interview of Inez about recording in Memphis for the first time by an interviewer named Mousa. Not what it could have been, Stax failed to deliver on this one.
