For his third album on Artalinna, the Japanese Hiroaki Takenouchi invites us to rediscover three little-known variation cycles, including Grieg's sumptuous Ballade, inspired by a popular Norwegian song. With his major Second Improvisation, Medtner creates an immense pantheistic journey, which lasts half an hour.
