With the impressive "Heroes & Villains", the St. Louis beatmaker signs his most complex and gleaming album on which he is joined by a killer lineup of artists, such as Future, Travis $cott, 21 Savage, Young Thug and A$AP Rocky.

Every time Metro Boomin puts on a show, heavy artillery accompanies him. After the excellent Savage Mode II in collaboration with 21 Savage released in 2020, his new album, Heroes & Villains, offers an impressive concentration of heavyweights, stars of the genre who have come to pay tribute to the protagonist's status.

Metro Boomin - Heroes & Villains (Short Film)

Metro Boomin

On Heroes & Villains you'll find Future, Travis $cott, 21 Savage of course, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky and Gunna. A great bunch. But Metro Boomin is far from content to deliver a selection of his best productions and watch the big names embellish them. He composes, sometimes offering three tracks in one, favouring variations and versatility. The monstrous bass on Too Many Nights, the soul sample on Umbrella, the almost melodic drum machines on All The Money make this album versatile while remaining incredibly mastered.

One can sense a desire to fight back, a desire to prove, or rather to confirm one's status. To use gunpowder in this way, with audacity, is reserved for a few beatmakers in full confidence. Heroes & Villains is perhaps Metro Boomin's most complex project, the most dynamic. And it works.
