The Lemon Twigs

The Lemon Twigs were formed in Long Island, New York in 2015 based around the talents of multi-instrumentalist brothers, Brian and Michael D'Addario. The band made their first release with the cassette titled What We Know which was limited to 100 copies. Their sound has been described as '60s Baroque pop with influences of The Beatles, The Zombies and The Beach Boys that can be detected in their material. In 2015 they signed to the English alternative music label 4AD, a record company which began life as an imprint of the famous Beggars Banquet label. The band's debut release for the label was the album Do Hollywood, a critically acclaimed collection of ten songs released in 2016 and produced by Jonathan Rado from the indie band Foxygen. To promote the album the group embarked upon a concert tour, appearing at major festivals such as Glastonbury, Outside Lands and Montreux Jazz Festival, and began to establish themselves as an up-and-coming band on the alternative rock scene. After tiding fans over with a 2017 EP of unreleased outtakes from the album sessions entitled Brothers of Destruction, they revealed their second album in 2018. Titled Go to School, it marked their debut on the UK Albums Chart, and was swiftly followed by a series of British tour dates for the pair as a support act for Arctic Monkeys. The group’s third LP, Songs for the General Public, surfaced in August 2020 following various setbacks as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Garnering positive reviews, it reached #61 on the Billboard Current Album Sales Chart.
