Tai Verdes

Singer Tai Verdes is known for his buoyant, laid-back pop. He emerged to viral success in 2020 with his song "Stuck in the Middle," which paved the way for his debut album, 2021's breezy and stylistically diverse TV. Born Tyler Colon, Verdes grew up in Southern California where he played piano, guitar, and ukulele. After high school, he attended Babson College, playing on the basketball team. However, singing remained his passion and he eventually dropped out to pursue music full-time. He took a day job working at a phone store and spent time on his music during his off hours. During 2020's COVID-19 lockdown, he became even more focused, practicing singing in his car and posting tracks online. In August 2020, he posted the song "Stuck in the Middle" on social media and promised to release it if the video got 1,000 likes. The song went viral, and Verdes ultimately signed with Arista. In May 2021, he released his inventive debut full-length, TV, which combined elements of pop, hip-hop, and R&B. A standalone single, "3 Outfits," arrived in March 2022.
