Seddy Hendrinx

Representing Duval County, Florida, emcee Seddy Hendrinx delivers speedy rhymes, atmospheric production, and thick bass with thoughtful introspection and clever samples. Blending melodic Auto-Tuned croons with trap-styled rapping, he balances hard-hitting street tales with introspection that zones in on pain and darker emotions. Emerging in the late 2010s, he delivered his debut effort, Death B4 Dishonor Loyalty Over Everything, in 2018. From there he collaborated with a host of like-minded artists such as Gunna, G Herbo, and even T-Pain on singles and projects like his 2022 mixtape Well Sed. Hailing from Jacksonville, Hendrinx took his name from both Jimi Hendrix and Atlanta trap rapper Future, who sometimes goes by Future Hendrix. Inserting himself into that lineage, Hendrinx kicked off his career with a relatively late start in the game. He began freestyling in high school, impressing friends who urged him to post videos of his raps online. These clips gained traction and word spread, expanding his local audience. Early singles such as 2017's "Fell in Love" and 2018's "Emotional" were followed by his hard-hitting debut, Death B4 Dishonor Loyalty Over Everything, which featured the underground favorite "Safe." The following year, he released the single "Lowkey," which interpolated SWV's "Weak in the Knees." The song was included on 2019 mixtape Roots II. In 2020 Hendrinx released EP B.H.D. (Black Hearted Demon), which included "We Got Em In," one of several songs he made with OMB Peezy. Before the year was up, second EP Sayless surfaced, featuring cameos from Gunna, G Herbo, Jack Harlow, and other multi-platinum rappers. He released several singles before 2022 mixtape Well Sed arrived, featuring Fivio Foreign on the moody, R&B-intoned single "Groovy" and T-Pain on the gentle atmospheres of "Body 2 Body."
