Sandro Cavazza

Sporting a wide vocal range and soulful delivery, Swedish pop singer Sandro Cavazza first gained attention with the band Bonavox in 2014. He broke through as a solo artist with featured spots on 2016's "Beautiful Life" by Lost Frequencies and on 2017's "Without You," a Swedish number one by Avicii. Cavazza later reached the Top Five in multiple Scandinavian countries with 2020's "Forever Yours (Avicii Tribute)," a collaboration with Kygo that preceded Cavazza's second EP, Weird & Talkative. Singles including "Don't Deserve This" (with Nea) followed in 2021. Born Alessandro Michele Cavazza in Stockholm in 1992, he began singing in early childhood and tried writing his first songs while still in primary school. Cavazza went on to study at the Los Angeles College of Music, where he co-founded the alternative pop group Bonavox with musicians from Germany, Brazil, and Indonesia. They released a self-titled EP in 2014 before Cavazza finished school and left the band to pursue other projects. He co-wrote two songs for the Avicii album Stories, issued in late 2015, as well as the tropical house tune "Beautiful Life" by EDM producer Lost Frequencies, which featured Cavazza on vocals. Upon its release in June 2016, it charted in several European countries, hitting number one in Belgium. Cavazza made his solo debut in April 2017 on Interscope with the Sandro Cavazza EP. Later that year, he went to the top of the Swedish singles chart with a featured spot on Avicii's "Without You." That song also landed in the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and on multiple U.S. dance charts. A stand-alone single, "High with Somebody" with P3GI-13, arrived in 2018 and reached number nine in Sweden, and he went to number three that year as featured singer on the Kygo track "Happy Now." Cavazza returned to the Top Five alongside Kygo on 2020's "Forever Yours (Avicii Tribute)" following the death of the Grammy-nominated producer. 2020 also included the release of Cavazza's second EP, Weird & Talkative. Collaborations with Georgia Ku ("Love to Lose") and Nea ("Don't Deserve This") followed in 2021.
