Herizen

Herizen Guardiola, aka Herizen, is an actress and singer who makes emotive alternative pop. She debuted in 2018 with the Come Over to My House EP. Born in 1996 in Miami, Florida, Herizen grew up in a creative, multicultural family of Cuban and Jamaican-descent, the daughter of reggae artist Johnny Dread and yoga instructor Venice Pink. She started singing at a young age, joining her father on stage by age five, and eventually discovering classic artists like Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and Nirvana. She also pursued acting and first came to the public's attention in 2016 starring as aspiring singer Mylene Cruz in Baz Luhrmann's television series The Get Down. More acting work followed, including roles on Dare Me and American Gods. On the heels of several collaborations with Absofacto, Herizen released her debut EP, Come Over to My House, in 2018. In 2020, she returned with her second EP, Demon, on which she co-produced all of the songs, including the spotlight tracks "Hell Boy" and "Range Rover."
