Anne Marie Dragosits

"She is an exceptional harpsichordist... A technique and a lyricism as few are capable of", we would read in Scherzo magazine in 2017. Anne-Marie manages to combine all of the emotional and technical qualities of a soloist, chamber musician, conductor or teacher-researcher...

Anne-Marie began in Vienna with Wolfgang Glüxman, then in The Hague with Ton Koopman and Tini Mathot, it was not until later that she perfected her continuo playing in master classes with Lars Ulrik Mortensen and Jesper Christensen.

Passionate about period instruments, her first solo recording "ITALIA" (2010) on a Giusti from 1681 and a Veronensis from 1564, was immediately highly praised by colleagues. In 2015, she made another recording, "En discrétion", on a Girolamo Zenti from 1658, and the following year she released, "Le Clavecin Mythologique", devoted to the French Baroque repertoire. This recording went on to receive the German Critics' Prize in the "keyboard instrument" category.

In parallel, Anne-Marie Dragosits leads a career as a chamber musician of the highest calibre, and collaborates with various internationally renowned ensembles such as the Barocksolisten München and the Orfeo Barockorchester. In 2017 she made her debut as an opera conductor by conducting Francesco Cavalli's "La Rosinda" at the Blackbox of the Landestheater in Linz.

As an accomplished artist, pedagogue and academic, she completed her thesis in December 2012 on Giovanni Girolamo Kapsperger (1581 - 1651), and teaches harpsichord at the Anton Brückner University in Linz. © Pierre Lamy – Août 2021/Qobuz
