W&W

DJ and production duo W&W create a unique style of their own from trance melodies, electro's crackle, and the excitement of progressive house. The group has released dozens of floor-filling tracks while becoming a festival draw, performing at festivals such as Ultra, EDC, Tomorrowland, and even breaking a world record by playing 24 shows in China in just 27 days. As they grew to become a leading name in mainstage EDM, W&W steadily released new songs like 2022 AXMO collaboration "Heaven is a Place on Earth" in additions to original remixes they crafted for artists like Ed Sheeran and Steve Aoki with BTS. Electronic musicians, producers, and DJs Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst formed W&W in 2007. They quickly gained support from the likes of Tiësto and David Guetta, as well as Armin van Buuren, whose radio show, A State of Trance, began to regularly feature the duo's prolific supply of productions and remixes the same year. Van Hanegem and van der Harst released a double-length album, Impact, in 2011, but they reached a much broader audience in 2014 with "Bigfoot," a single that cracked the Top 30 of the Dutch Single Top 100 chart and dented Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs survey in the U.S. The duo steadily recorded and performed during the next few years. In 2017, they debuted their trance-oriented WNYR side project with a remix of Ed Sheeran's "Castle on the Hill." W&W continued pushing trance forward with WNYR, and contributing to EDM on the whole their community-driven record label Rave Culture, a bi-weekly radio show, livestream broadcasts, and more. W&W's remix catalog grew as the years went on, as well, with re-workings of tracks for O-Zone, Jaxx & Vega, the Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki and BTS, R3HAB, and many others.
