P2 is the second Def Jam-backed release by Harlem MC Dave East, who signed to Nas' Mass Appeal Records in 2014. Featuring guest appearances from T.I., Lloyd Banks, Tory Lanez, and Marsha Ambrosius, P2 is the sequel to 2017's Paranoia: A True Story (which reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Top 200). East continues to hone his sharp storytelling skills here, and the production (by Illmind, Cardiak, Street Symphony, and others) has more of a live, organic feel than East's past efforts. Despite P2's nearly hourlong running time, East considers the release and its predecessor as EPs, in anticipation of his proper debut album. P2 debuted at number 78 on the Billboard 200 following its January 2018 arrival.
