Wax Tailor
Idioma disponível: inglêsThe trip-hop performance moniker of Jean-Christophe Le Saoût, Wax Tailor first emerged on the French electronica scene in 2004 (with the EP release Lost the Way), but didn't release his debut album until 2006. That debut, Tales of the Forgotten Melodies, was a hit both in France and in the United States, and made quite a dent on the CMJ charts that year. In 2007, Wax Tailor returned to the spotlight with his second full-length, Hope & Sorrow. Featuring vocalist Charlotte Savary and Ursula Rucker, this second album was enough of a success to warrant a number of live shows featuring Wax Tailor and his four-piece band. Two years later, he returned with In the Mood for Life, which once again featured collaborations with Savary, along with appearances by Dionne Charles, Sara Genn, and others. Wax Tailor's fourth album, Dusty Rainbow from the Dark, appeared in 2012 and included the single "Heart Stop," featuring Jennifer Charles. The album debuted at number eight in France and earned a Victoires la Musique nomination for Best Electronic Music Album. In 2016 he returned with By Any Beats Necessary, featuring the single "I Had a Woman." A companion album, By Any Remixes Necessary, followed a year later.
