Tóti Guðnason

Icelandic composer Tóti Guðnason first found fame with his progressive rock outfit Agent Fresco before delivering his debut full-length film score for the 2021 Valdimar Jóhannsson-directed folk thriller Lamb. Born and raised in the north of Iceland, Guðnason (aka Þórarinn Guðnason) had attended the Icelandic University of Arts studying classical composition. The guitarist and songwriter first found fame with his progressive rock outfit Agent Fresco -- the band formed in 2008 and released two albums, 2010's A Long Time Listening and 2015's Destrier. As a member of the tight-knit Icelandic music scene, Guðnason also spent time touring as part of the late Jóhann Jóhannsson's live show and moving into composing himself. 2015 saw him lending his talents as Assistant Composer alongside Ólafur Arnalds for the score to the British TV drama Broadchurch, and in 2019 he worked with his sister, Hildur Guðnadóttir, on her Oscar-winning score for Todd Phillips' Joker. 2021 saw Guðnason branch out on his own with his haunting score for Valdimar Jóhannsson's folk thriller Lamb before teaming up with his sister and her husband, English composer Sam Slater, to work on the video game Battlefield 2042.
