O sétimo álbum dos Beatles, Revolver, foi lançado em 1966 pelas gravadoras Parlophone e Capitol. Com 14 faixas, o inovador disco produzido por George Martin tem uma maior participação de George Harrison nas composições, com o guitarrista assinando três faixas (“Taxman”, “Love You To” e “I Want to Tell You”). Gravado no icônico Abbey Road Studios, Revolver teve dois singles de divulgação, “Yellow Submarine / Eleanor Rigby” e “Got To Get You Into My Life”. A banda, que não pretendia mais se apresentar ao vivo, fez uso de diversos recursos eletrônicos durante a gravação do álbum e revolucionou a música pop. Muito elogiado pela crítica, Revolver é frequentemente lembrado como o melhor trabalho dos Beatles e encabeça diversas listas dos melhores discos de rock de todos os tempos. Até a icônica capa foi reconhecida, e ganhou o Grammy de Melhor Capa em 1967.
