Evidence Classics is the fruit of an encounter between two enthusiasts, the skilful artistic director Nicolas Bartholomée (Aparté, Ambroisie), who has already made and produced over 2,000 recordings (Barbara Hendricks, Martha Argerich, Nathalie Dessay, Nikolai Lugansky,Christophe Rousset, Jordi Savall, Teodor Currentzis and many others), and Emmanuel Chollet, creator of Fiat Lux Recordings and ex-EMI/Virgin, Timpani Records and Believe Digital. Evidence aims to be international, with recordings not only by some of the greatest virtuosos, but also by up-and-coming young talents, who will be free to explore many repertoires and different musical genres. This label, largely turned towards digitisation, will employ the new communication strategies and make wide use of video, notably via its YouTube channel, which will present documentary films of recordings, interviews with artists, and live broadcasts. Evidence will be in constant evolution, keeping abreast with technological developments, while maintaining high-definition sound that is ever more precise, pure and true, for optimal listening everywhere.
