Sławek Jaskułke

Award-winning jazz and modern classical pianist and composer Sławek Jaskułke was born in Puck, Poland on January 2, 1979. He made his recording debut with the jazz group Orange Trane on their 1998 album My Personal Friend. He then performed on Kancelarya’s 2000 album Zabiorę Cię Jeśli Tylko Chcesz. In 2002, he issued the album Live At Gdynia Summer Jazz Days which was credited to the Sławek Jaskułke Trio featuring Maciej Sikała. In 2003, his group, now renamed the Sławek Jaskułke 3yo, released the album Sugarfree. He also recorded with the Hanseatica Chamber Orchestra and released the album Fill the Harmony Philharmonic (2003). Sławek Jaskułke next appeared on saxophonist Przemek Dyakowski’s 2007 album Melisa. His live performances in Hong Kong in 2006 led to the release of the album titled Hong Kong in 2009. Additional albums in his catalog include Moments (2013), Sea (2014), Senne (2016), Komeda Recomposed with his sextet (2018), and Park Live (2020). He has also performed and/or recorded with the Zbigniew Namysłowski Quintet, Michał Urbaniak, Petr Cancura, Krzesimir Dębski, David Fiuczynski, Murray, Adam Pierończyk, and many others. As a live act, he has performed at many of the most respected international music halls including Carnegie Hall (New York), Symphony Hall (Chicago), and the Moscow International Performing Arts Center. He’s also performed at many festivals including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Berlin Jazz Fest, and many more. Sławek Jaskułke has been honored with many awards during his career including the Pegaz, a Polish TV award for musical achievements.
