Claire Rosinkranz

California's Claire Rosinkranz makes lyrical, lo-fi indie pop marked by her warm vocals and wry, often playful lyrics. Rosinkranz debuted in 2020 with her buoyant Beverly Hills Boyfriend EP. Her sophomore EP, 2021's 6 of a Billion, included the hits "Frankenstein" and "Hotel," and in 2022 she issued the singles "i h8 that i still feel bad for u" and "Stuck On Us." All of this led up to her full-length debut, Just Because, which arrived in 2023. Born in 2004 in California, Rosinkranz grew up in a musical family the daughter of producer Ragnar Rosinkranz. Homeschooled, she first began writing songs around age eight and eventually learned piano, guitar, and ukulele. By her teens, she was recording her music at home, drawing upon an eclectic mix of influences, including the Beatles, Jack Johnson, and Frank Ocean. She also started posting her songs online and performing them on various social media platforms, where she developed a following. In 2020, she released her debut EP, Beverly Hills Boyfriend, which featured the viral hit "Backyard Boyfriend." The stand-alone song "Real Life" arrived in April 2021, with the EP 6 of a Billion appearing later that year. Rosinkranz began 2022 with the wry singles "i h8 that i still feel bad for u" and "Stuck On Us," the latter of which saw her collaborating with social media pop star Aiden Bissett. In May 2023, she delivered her debut full-length Just Because. Along with production from her father, it also found her collaborating with producers Afterhrs, Paul Phamous, Stint, and Elie Rizk. Included on the album were the singles "Sad in Hawaii," "123," and "Never Goes Away."
