Kash Doll

Detroit rapper Kash Doll emanates confidence and power, delivering slick, braggadocious tracks with streamlined and ear-catching production. Singles like 2018's "For Everybody" led almost immediately to a major-label record deal, and she hit the Billboard 200 with her Republic-released 2019 full-length debut, Stacked. Kash Doll is also a frequent collaborator with high-profile artists, issuing songs with Iggy Azalea, Big Sean, Juicy J, Meek Mill, Wale, and many others. She teamed up with DJ Drama for 2023's Back on Dexter: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape. Born Arkeisha Knight, Kash Doll worked as an exotic dancer to support her family, but she quit to concentrate on music, booking her first gigs in the Detroit area in 2014. After delivering a well-received single covering AV's "Run Me My Money," Kash Doll released her first mixtape, K.R.E.A.M. Kash Rules Everything Around Me, in early 2015, with production on some tracks from 808 Mafia member Purps. Late the next year, she returned with another online mixtape, Keisha vs. Kash Doll, and issued a handful of singles, including "For Everybody," in 2017. Signed to Republic, Kash Doll continued her ascent in 2018 with the commercial mixtape Brat Mail and the single "Ice Me Out," the latter of which did well with a remix featuring 2 Chainz. During 2019, she toured with Meek Mill, appeared as a featured artist on Iggy Azalea's single "Fuck It Up," earned the Spirit of Detroit Award (for her charitable work with Kash Doll Enterprises), and released Stacked, her first album. It entered the Billboard 200 at number 76, driven by the Big Sean collaboration "Ready Set." In 2020, Kash Doll contributed the song "How It's Done" to the Charlie's Angels soundtrack and also released stand-alone singles including "Bad Azz," which featured guest appearances from Latto and Benny the Butcher, and the Tee Grizzley collaboration "Bossa Nova." She continued this trend of releasing guest-heavy singles into 2021, issuing the tracks "Like a Pro" featuring Juicy J and "Single & Happy" featuring Wale and Eric Bellinger. That year, Kash Doll also appeared solo on the single "Thumbin." "ABOW" was released in 2022, and 2023's Back on Dexter: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape (with DJ Drama) included appearances by Detroit rap heavyweights like Icewear Vezzo and Babyface Ray.
