Louisa

The English singer Louisa Johnson was born in Thurrock, Essex in 1998 and at the age of 17 entered the UK TV talent show 'The X Factor'. In December 2015 she was declared the winner of that series becoming the youngest ever winner in the show's history. In typical 'X Factor' fashion she released a single within days of the announcement of her victory and the track, a Dylan cover titled 'Forever Young', reached number nine in the UK singles charts.

The singer's most significant commercial success has been the 2016 single 'Tears', a collaboration with the critically-acclaimed British electronic band Clean Bandit. The track reached the top five in England and Scotland and was subsequently declared platinum by the BPI.

In 2018 Johnson announced her departure from Syco, the record label owned by music mogul Simon Cowell and has since signed to the Ministry of Sound label.
