J.Sheon
The independently-minded Taiwanese rapper J.Sheon, born December 24, 1985, started to explore a career in music during a time when he lived in New York City. Moving to The Big Apple as a teenager, he became intrigued by American hip-hop, R&B, and soul. He eventually learned on his own how to record and release a record. He relocated back to his native country in the early 2010s and began making original recordings available on social media. Sony Music released his self-titled debut album, for which he wrote and produced the vast majority of material, in 2017. Featuring such popular songs as “You’ll Never Know”, and “Breathing”, the record earned him the Top New Artist award at the next year’s Billboard Radio China awards. His sophomore release, The Alley, came out in late 2019 and contained the popular track “Ballad”.
