FEVER 333

Los Angeles-based group FEVER 333 inject their raucous hybrid rap-rock sound with politically charged lyrics like forebears Rage Against the Machine, with additional touches of Public Enemy, Black Flag, and Linkin Park. Abrasive, aggressive, and energetic, the band earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance in 2019 for the explosive title track from their debut EP, Made in America. Their debut full-length, Strength in Numb333rs, landed the same year. The hard-hitting three-piece was formed by frontman Jason Aalon Butler (ex-LetLive), guitarist Stephen Harrison (the Chariot), and drummer Aric Improta (Night Verses). With full support by producers Travis Barker (blink-182) and John Feldmann (Goldfinger) -- who signed the band to their More Hi-Hat label -- FEVER 333 made their debut in 2017 with fiery live shows and grassroots organization to promote their message of "community, charity, and change." This socially conscious spirit was woven into early tracks like the visceral "Hunting Season," the genre-blurring trap-metal of "Walking in My Shoes," and the fiery "We're Coming In." In March of 2018, the band announced that they had inked a deal with Roadrunner Records, releasing the EP Made in America: the title cut earned a Best Rock Performance Grammy nomination. Strength in Numb333rs, the group's first full-length effort, arrived in early 2019. Written, recorded, and released in just under 24 hours, the politically charged single "Presence Is Strength" was issued in early 2020. That standalone track was followed by the Wrong Generation EP, which arrived that October. The next year, FEVER 333 was featured on tracks by Yonaka ("Clique") and Papa Roach ("Swerve"), but lineup changes would signal a major shift in 2022 when Improta and Harrison parted ways with the band. Regrouping with a new lineup that featured drummer Thomas Pridgen (the Mars Volta), guitarist Brandon Davis (ex-Vanna, Lions Lions), and bassist April Kae, Butler unveiled the freshly formed quartet in May 2023.
