Elisa Netzer

A brilliant performer of the classical harp repertoire and an advocate for new works for her instrument, Elisa Netzer has performed in her native Switzerland, as well as Italy, Spain, the U.K., and Brazil, and appeared internationally in concerts with many orchestras and as a solo recitalist. A graduate of the Arrigo Boïto Music Conservatory in Parma, Italy, she earned her master's degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Her principal teachers included Skaila Kanga, Judith Liber, and Emanuela Degli Esposti. The winner of several competitions, Netzer was awarded first prizes at the Guy McGrath Harp Competition of the United Kingdom Harp Association, the Swiss Young Musicians competition, the Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione musicale di Riccione, the Bellagio Festival Competition, the Concorso Internazionale Giovani Musicisti di Legnago, the International Harp Competition in Szeged, and the Daniele Ridolfi Competition in Viareggio. She gave her debut performance in 2013 with the State Hermitage Orchestra in St. Petersburg, and was named a young emerging artist at the Musical Olympus Festival. She performed in 2017 at the Lucerne Festival and the World Harp Festival in Hong Kong, and in 2018 released her first album on Naxos, Toccata, a survey of transcriptions and original compositions for harp.
