Bomsori

Internationally renowned classical violinist Bomsori Kim was born on December 13, 1989, in Daegu, South Korea. Her career started at the age of 5 when she held her first violin. By the time she was old enough, she relocated to Seoul, South Korea to study at Yewon Arts School. She then received a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University. As the recipient of a full scholarship, Bomsori Kim also earned her Master of Music Degree and Artist Diploma at The Juilliard School in New York, New York, studying under Sylvia Rosenberg and Ronald Copes. She has won many prizes and awards at many international violin competitions and has been referred to as ‘one of the most dynamic and exciting violinists of today’. She began her recording career in 2017 with the album Bomsori Kim & Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Signing to Deutsche Grammophon, she issued the album Bomsori & Rafał Blechacz, a collaboration with the Polish pianist, in 2019. She followed that album with the 2021 release Violin on Stage, under the name Bomsori.
