Six years after Where the Oceans End appeared in 2010, Cocoon has decided to return to the limelight. The good news is that Mark Daumail seems totally unaffected by his global success, which saw his tracks featured on various advertising spots all over the world. The proof of his continued interest in creating quality records is in Welcome Home, an impeccable third album that was largely conceived in Richmond, Virginia, at the American songwriter Matthew E. White's home. The songwriter, producer and owner of the Spacebomb label, as well as his team, bring a lot of old school know-how to this record and it shows. Natalie Prass (whose eponymous debut album was actually produced by White) is stunning on her two tracks (Retreat and Watch My Back) and the production finally gives this group the quality it deserves.
