Romeo

South Korean boy band Romeo, stylized as ROMEO, emerged in 2015 with seven members: Seunghwan, Yunsung, Milo, Minsung, Kyle, Hyunkyung, and Kangmin. The group's first teaser for their debut song, "Lovesick," was unveiled on May 2, launching their debut EP, The Romeo, five days later, peaking at number 11 on the Korean charts. The group made a comeback on November 5 with new single “Target” from their mini-album, Zero In, which went to number 13. 2016 saw the release of digital single "Nightmare" in May, prior to the premiere of their first reality TV show, Romeo Project in Taiwan, announcing the release of a new EP Miro on June 23, accompanied by themed Alice in Wonderland" teasers, featuring SHINee's Minho, on the lead title single. A full version of the EP was released on July 5, peaking at number 6 on the Korean charts, and the group received the "Rookie of the Year" award at the Korean Entertainment Art Awards. On March 8, 2017, ROMEO released a new EP, Without U, which climbed to number 6 in Korea, with the title single reaching number 7 in Japan. In 2018, the group released a non-album Japanese single, "Hanabi (花火)," which attained only moderate success, reaching number 28 on the Japanese charts. In 2019, they recorded the single "Why is this happen?" for television series I Hate You Juliet. After a lengthy hiatus, Seunghwan, Kyle, Hyunkyung, and Kangmin reappeared on January 21, 2023, competing in JBTC survival show Peak Time, however were eliminated in the second round.
