After years of solo mixtapes, the Cool Kids' Sir Michael Rocks makes his official solo debut with Banco. With a chilled-out, late-night vibe, the deep bass and minimalist beats of tracks like "Bussin'," which finds the rapper teaming up with guests Casey Veggies and Iamsu!, create a surreal soundtrack for the listener's nocturnal adventures. The blend of effortless cool and slightly eerie production makes for a tremendous debut for Rocks, who seems to be coming into his own identity apart from bandmate Chuck Inglish, who makes an appearance (along with the legendary Too $hort) on "Ain't Nothin' Like."
