Algunos viejos sabios le dirán que hubo una época dorada en la que no había relleno en los álbumes de Led Zeppelin (y lo mismo con otros grupos). Las pistas que no alcanzaran el nivel necesario se desechaban sin piedad, aunque podrían haber sido una fuente de inspiración años más tarde para muchos artistas en ciernes. Después de “Coda”, Jimmy Page intentó dos veces proponer recopilaciones al público, “Early Days & Latter Days: The Very Best Of Led Zeppelin” y “Mothership”, pero su batalla estaba perdida, porque una parte de la gente que no estaba interesada porque estas compilaciones no contenían sus temas favoritos, y otros no entendían que algunas pistas menos conocidas pudieran estar al lado de los grandes clásicos. Pero todo el mundo tiene que empezar en algún lugar, y para eso hemos hecho esta playlist... Lo ideal, o lo peor, según el punto de vista, es empezar con una mezcla que aporte tanto los éxitos esenciales como los temas más raros o menos conocidos esperando que sean nuevos descubrimientos, como si se hubieran grabado ayer…
