Aparentemente incapaces de publicar un disco mediocre, la venerada banda de rock británica Elbow ha hecho de nuevo un excelente trabajo con la publicación de su cuarto LP, The Seldom Seen Kid. Una vez más convirtiendo la monotonía de su Manchester natal en majestuosidad melancólica, el líder Guy Garvey y los demás miembros pisan fuerte en el arenoso "Grounds for Divorce", mientras que "The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver" revela el lado sobrio del grupo y "The Fix" invoca un estado de ánimo oscuro que el cantante invitado Richard Hawley fomenta. Con The Seldom Seen Kid, un disco considerado y dinámico que merece totalmente un público norteamericano más amplio, Elbow ha elaborado uno de los mejores álbumes de principios de 2008.
