Tras el nombre de I’m With Her se oculta en realidad la entente cordial de tres expertas en folk, bluegrass y Americana: Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz y Aoife O’Donovan. Estas amigas de extenso currículum (una buena decena de álbumes en solitario entre las tres) han decidido unir sus fuerzas para confeccionar este See You Around, grabado en el estudio Real World de Peter Gabriel de Bath, en Inglaterra, con Ethan Johns en tareas de producción. Una auténtica hemorragia de armonías vocales, tan cristalinas como sobrias, conformada por once temas originales más una canción de Gillian Welch (Hundred Miles).
La complicidad y la extraordinaria espontaneidad de que hacen gala estas estadounidenses se traduce en una banda sonora de tintes sepia, en una sinfonía intimista enemiga de cualquier monotonía sobre una América olvidada que vuelve a la vida en virtud de la elegancia que confieren a sus interpretaciones. Watkins toca el fiddle y el ukulele, Jarosz la mandolina y el banjo y O’Donovan el piano y el sintetizador; las tres, virtuosas instrumentistas, tocan con extremado refinamiento y privilegian la fluidez sonora por encima de toda pirotecnia.
