Antes de realizar In The Grace of Your Love, el cantante y letrista Luke Jenner se convirtió en padre, perdió a su madre por suicidio y se convirtió al catolicismo. Estos acontecimientos fomentaron el material más enfocado y orientado a las canciones de The Rupture - uno en el cual la muerte, la devoción y los niños son temas recurrentes, expresados en estado de profunda angustia y alegría redentora.
