Después de varios discos en los que fundamentalmente se limitaba a rapear, en Honestly, Nevermind, Drake vuelve a demostrar su habilidad como vocalista. Colaborando con diversos productores, entre ellos viejos aliados como 40, Carnage y Black Coffee, Drake se anima a explorar nuevos sonidos como la música house o hasta algo de jazz, y solamente convoca a un par de invitados en lugar de la habitual multitud. El resultado es uno de sus discos más variados e interesantes, con letras que continúan adoptando la misma perspectiva melancólica y a la defensiva de siempre pero que aquí suenan más convincentes. Honestly, Nevermind introduce un bienvenido cambio a la carrera de Drake, que ya amenazaba con convertirse en una eterna letanía por la autopista del trap.
