Graduada de High School Musical y a punto de cumplir 24 años, Ashley Tisdale está preparada para comportarse como una adulta, o al menos no como una adolescente, en su segundo álbum, Guilty Pleasure, título que deja traslucir sus aspiraciones pop. Naturalmente subyace Britney Spears, pero Ashley también incorpora el rock junky wannabe de Ashlee Simpson, el stomp provocativo de Katy Perry, el estilo club basura de Fergie, algo de la teatralidad de Christina y las agallas de Kelly Clarkson. Queda claro que Tisdale disfruta de la interpretación, que era un poco irritante en High School Musical porque estaba exagerada en el personaje de Sharpay Evans, pero aquí funciona muy bien porque su compromiso total con el juego puede redundar en un pop descartable realmente divertido.
