El lanzamiento de Manhattan Records de Celtic Woman es un recopilatorio y colaboración entre cinco vocalistas desconocidos, presentados sólo por su nombre propio (Chloë, Lisa, Órla, Méav y Máiréad), que se van turnando para interpretar baladas irlandesas como si se escucharan a través de un dramático y exuberante filtro new age. A través de un ambiente de teclado de gran reverberación, los intérpretes versionan el período contemporáneo como "Orinoco Flow" de Enya hasta melodías tradicionales como "Danny Boy" y "Ave Maria". Mientras cada vocalista coloca en la mesa un maravilloso timbre de voz por separado, cada canción comparte un arreglo histriónico similar y lento y pesado tempo que deja de lado cualquier sutileza que pueda distinguir un tema de otro.
