Seven months after releasing Blockchain, his highest-charting release to date, Money Man put out Big Money, another tightly focused effort with lyrics detailing the rapper's entrepreneurial hustle, with less references to cryptocurrency than the previous album. The beats are typically icy yet atmospheric, with gentle touches like pianos and acoustic guitars on songs like the dramatic title track or "New York" (about taking his love interest on an expensive shopping spree in the city). Guests such as Benny the Butcher, Nardo Wick, and G Herbo stop by, making this one of the most collaborative Money Man releases to date, yet nobody upstages the host. He delivers some clever lines here and there, but none of the tracks stand out as being particularly noteworthy, and the release doesn't leave much of an impression. Money Man has a consistent track record, having reached the top half of the Billboard 200 six times and counting, and he's clearly achieving his desired goal, but releases like Big Money just aren't that exciting.
