Tomas Nordmark

Tomas Nordmark's atmospheric compositions explore nature, humanity, and areas of the unknown. With works appearing in such diverse settings as public installations, live theater, and opera, and inspired by creating emotional cues in the manner of instrumental film scores, he released his debut album, Eternal Words, in 2019. Again blending ambient electronic and processed acoustic textures, Exit Ghosts followed in 2021. A native of Västervik, Sweden, Nordmark studied Audio Culture and Contemporary Art at the University of Linköping before embarking on a career as a music composer. Citing influences including Tim Hecker, Arthur Russell, and Jóhann Jóhannsson, he penned music for a variety of public spaces and events in his adopted home of London before recording a solo album. Eternal Words arrived on Valley of Search in early 2019. He followed it with Exit Ghosts on the same label in mid-2021.
