andrew reed & the liberation

An enigmatic and truth-seeking songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, North Carolina's Andrew Reed and his band the Liberation combine expansive guitar-driven indie rock with mystical retro FM pop. Debuting in 2018 with the Billboard-charting concept LP If All the World Were Right, Reed went into seclusion in 2019 to write the group's follow-up effort. Recorded to tape at his own tri-level mountaintop studio, 2021's As a Bird of the Air saw Reed and his band deliver a dynamic and life-affirming set of songs that included the singles "Strangers" and the stirring title cut.
